The Poor condition of stray dogs in India

There is a very popular saying that ‘a lot can be said about a man by how he treats his dog.’ I would like to re-phrase this as – ‘a lot can be said about a man by how he treats any powerless, voiceless animal out on the streets’.

Imagine you are so alone on the streets. You are so hungry that each movement becomes difficult for you. There are hundreds of people going by, yet you cannot talk or express yourself to them. We can’t even imagine such situation. Just think what numerous homeless and stray dogs you are passing by are experiencing. They are being ignored and abandoned to live a life full of struggle.

These days millions of dogs are stray or lost the number of dogs being killed or chucked out are provided by official organizations is dreadful and unfortunately this number is rising every day. This problem of stray dog population in India is huge one because of the open garbage. Stray dogs rely on garbage on the streets as a source of food. Secondly, India has fewer government and NGO services that deal with stray dogs because of that their number is increasing day by day.

What should be done in the future ?

  • A strong law by the government The Indian government in the past few years has come up with large scale interventions and organizations that can deal with stray dogs in India but unfortunately their efforts turned out to be a failure because the implementation was not there so the government should keep a check and try their level best to implement such laws. They should promote adoption of stray dogs and ensure that people do not support mass killings.
  • Sterilization of dogs – One of the main reason behind increasing stray dog population is breeding and migration. Many animal welfare organizations believe that the spay and neuter model – where both male and female dogs are taken from the streets, sterilized, vaccinated and returned to their original area which can be successful in reducing stray dogs population.
  • Sensitization among humans Mostly half the battle is won when awareness among the masses increase most of the people are not aware of how to deal with the issue of rising stray dogs population in their locality. They just run to kill them. However, it is not a solution because they also have emotions instead of killing such beings people should go and leave them in animal shelters where their proper care can be taken.

In the end, I just want to say we all have to finally look around and realize the cry of homeless animals and should provide them necessary help. Killing off innocent creatures is not a solution it is just a cruel move. And the government should take necessary steps to solve this problem so that these animals can also live a life full of care and love.

Shopping??

From Calling your best friend, making plans to hit the mall and hunt for that perfect dress, shopping became an addiction . No matter how many clothes we have but that flat 50% discount is something that won’t come back ever again. So  you land up there to buy some accessory that someday u might use. But lately it remains unused and  hold a space in your closet , which you can’t wear to office because it’s too shimmery and  doesn’t match to any of ur ethnic wear either plus you don’t even want to give up.
Mostly it’s just about buying clothes for office or buying your friend a gift. But on the other hand it becomes more than a pas time  it becomes obsession that people can’t get over with but name it shoppaholic. But everyone needs to understand that there is lot of difference between shoppaholic and shopping addict. As a shopping addiction  leads to  serious financial destruction.
Compulsive shopping and excessive  spending are defined as inappropriate, excessive, and out of control,” says Donald Black, MD, professor of psychiatry at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. “Like other addictions, it basically has to do with impulsiveness and lack of control over one’s impulses. Being shopping addict can seriously mess up with your personal life ,financial conditions and your family. Some of the major changes seen in a person that can lead to this shopping addiction are as follows.:
1. Spending over budget
2. Compulsive buying
3. Hiding something
4. Imbalanced relationships
If these are some of the issues that you are facing then you are  shopping addict.
Now you might think that where you can get help from, but  according to University of Iowa College of Medicine making these minor changes in your lifestyle can help alot .
1. Admit that you are a compulsive spender, which is half the battle
2. Get rid of checkbooks and credit cards, which fuel the problem
3. Don’t shop by yourself because most compulsive shoppers shop alone and if you are with someone you are much less likely to be spend
4. Find other meaningful ways to spend time.
5.Indulge yourself in something productive.
By making this small changes you can try to combat this  problem, if these changes are not helping you anyhow then you can always consult a doctor to seek help.

A Guide for imperfect you.

perfectA place where everyone wants to be perfect, befriend with them, favor them and be whatever they want. But being an imperfect person and living with a myth that perfection is what you should aim for is totally wrong. One must learn to love his or her body because that is all you’ve got and you should learn hoe to respect it with all that you have.

The situations may differ for every person but this happens with everyone , where you get to hear about your body being improper and and unfit for their space. A friend of mine got rejected from an interview because of  the curly hairs she had was unfit for their organization . The body shaming is the problem which is setting up as a trend all around the world which never goes out of fashion. People need to understand that It’s not what you say, rather it is more of and always of how you say .

Even if you have said a minor thing but that thing is so repetitive which does no good to them but abash them. Everyone in someway or the other is humiliated which such phrases which has nothing to do with others. So kindly stop body shaming and let every person live the way they want to. There is nothing like perfection everyone has their own flaws and perfections.

ESCAPE:

DARKNESS

Give me escape.

Let me burn at the hands of oceans drowning within themselves.

And let me turn the sky into more canvas than dreamscape.

Let the mirror that i peak through show me what lies on other side of it.

My hands are just now a reflection of everything i’ve touched and felt with every attempt to escape reality, They crack at the edges scorching blue scars on the lines on my palms turning everything broken.

I need to escape , please give me escape.
There are wounds in the sky that broken fractals of clouds can’t mend and every drop of blood trickling along the horizon turns into the noose for ocean.

And i’m the earth suffocating from within. Gripping my throat with my cracked hands, hoping the shards don’t pierce my skin.
And this is not a poetry , just a cry for help.

It just pleads for escapism i’m never going to get.

The short term effects of divorce on children.

  1. Anxiety: The aftermath of a divorce causes the child to become tense, nervous, and anxious. Young children are more prone to it than the older ones since they are heavily dependent on both the parents. An anxious child will find it difficult to concentrate on his studies and may lose interest in activities that he once found enticing.
  2. Constant stress: According to the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, many children falsely consider themselves the reason behind their parents divorce.and assume the responsibility to mend the relationship . This can lead to immense stress and pressure on the young mind, which can have several repercussions like negative thoughts and nightmares.
  3. Mood swings and irritability: Young children may suffer from mood swings and become irritable even when interacting with familiar people. Some children will go into a withdrawal mode, where they stop talking to anyone and shut themselves away. The child will become quiet and prefer spending time alone.
  1. Intense sadness: Acute sadness rushes through the heart and mind of the child. Nothing feels good in life, and the child may eventually plunge into depression, which is a long-term manifestation of this sadness.
  2. Disillusion and distress: Children of divorce may feel hopeless and disillusioned because they do not have the comprehensive emotional support from their parents. This situation can become worse if the child is looked after by a single parent with no access to the other parent.

Womens safety in India

It is very true that women in India are given a place of Goddess Lakshmi in Indian society however we also cannot ignore the negative aspect of women’s position in India. Every day and every minute some women of all walks of life (a mother, a sister, a wife, young girls, and girl baby children) are getting harassed, molested, assaulted, and violated at various places all over the country. Areas like streets, public spaces, public transport, etc have been the territory of women hunters. Girl students studying in schools or colleges have to shield themselves through books or bags or they In the rural areas, women are still being raped by a family member, beaten by husbands or parents-in-law, burned for dowry, and so many cases. Nirbhaya gang-rape in the national capital of India was a dreadful event that can never be forgotten. A woman covers almost half the population of the country so they are half participants in the growth and development of India. We are running in the 21st century, an advanced era however it is very shame to say about the doubtful safety of a woman in India.have to wear clothes which can cover them completely. In some cases, a girl child is a sale by her parents just to earn some money. Girls generally face acid attacks on the streets and kidnapping for sex purposes by strangers. According to the statistics, it is found that a woman is raped in India every 20 minutes.

Fashion among studenst

‘Fashion, Fashion, Fashion’. Today’s world is full of fashion. Fashion has become a craze all through the world, especially with the youngsters. Our students- boys as well as girls- are very particular about fashion. Every student dresses in the latest fashion. They want to look smart, attractive and up-to-date. They blindly imitate the actors and actresses. They are always on the lookout for variety and novelty. Films do a lot to propagate new fashion. In today’s world, the fashion designers are prospering like anything. Their new fashionable dresses sell like hot cakes. Tailors also introduce new fashions. Fashion does not relate only to clothes. Going to club, hotel or a restaurant is also a part of fashion. Drinking, gambling, reading film magazines, making friendship with opposite sex, is all fashion. There is now the fashion of bell-bottom, bob hair, jeans, and pop music and disco dance. We are wasting our precious time and hard-earned money of our parents on fashion. Youngsters are so crazy about fashion that they do not mind emptying their pockets for the sake of new fashion. And thus goes on fashion for something new and novel.
